The focus of our July 2009 WRED event is on Washington’s growing market for recycled construuction and demolition materials. The day will begin with a tour of the Puget Sound region’s newest and one of the most innovative C&D recycling facilities, Glacier Recycle in Auburn, WA.
Lunch and networking will follow the tour in an onsite tent where we will then have presentations and discussion.
Next, a panel of industry experts will discuss topics from C&D recycling trends, opportunities, challenges, and how they are successfully processing, recycling, and putting valuable building materials back into use in their facilities. There will be ample time for audience Q&A with the panelists.
The last portion of the day will include a virtual tour of a newly LEED Silver certified federal building located nearby in Auburn.
Michael Nuemberger,GSA Project Manager, will provide insider knowledge about his experience pursuing this prestigious, and increasingly recognized certification. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in a Q&A discussion with Michael following the virtual tour.
